- PRESS RELEASE -

TODAYS QIUZ:

WHY DID THE JEWS REJECT THE FORMER FINNISH PRESIDENT AS THE JENIN  INVESTIGATION LEADER?

PROBABLY BECAUSE THE OFFICIAL FINNISH PRESIDENT FLAG HAS HITLER'S IRON CROSS PLUS SWASTIKA IN THE LEFT UPPER CORNER!

CLICK ON THE FOLLOWING LINK TO SEE THE PROOF:
http://www.anarchy.no/boycott.html

IT WAS NOT VERY DIPLOMATIC BY KOFI ANNAN TO PUT THE FORMER PRESIDENT OF FINLAND UP FRONT OF THE UN JENIN INVESTIGATION - THE FINNISH FOREIGN MINISTRY OF COURSE HAS OMMITTED THE OFFICIAL PRESIDENTFLAG AT THEIR WEB PAGE. IT IS A GREAT SHAME FOR FINLAND TO HAVE SUCH A PRESIDENT FLAG. WE - THE FINNISH ANARCHISTS HAVE A BOYCOTT AGAINST IT!

- DEBATE AFTER PRESS RELEASE -

1. Not the jews. - Israelis. Please be careful with your words. - David - eurodusnie, Holland.

2. Naming them "the Jews" isn't a good thing to do. they are "Israel" and
"Israelis" - but you cannot subject a whole people and religion to be under
the actions of Israel. Adam Shapiro is a Jew, but he has fought for
Palestinian rights. Is he included in "the Jews"? I think people should
change their wording and their sentiments and myths, then maybe other things
will follow. - RebelGrasshopper

3. The Jews did not reject the former Finnish president ... Ariel Sharon and the Israeli government did .... it is important not to equate the State of Israel with the Jewish people at large, because they are not the same thing despite the attempt by people like Sharon to equate them in people's mind ... - tintin

4. Of course this is weird. But Hitler stole the swastika and other symbols from the old europeans. I agree it can no longer be used innocently. But it obviously means something different on the Finnish president flag? In Belgium the extreme right took over 1 May as a day to celebrate. Does this mean that anarchists and socialists must allow them to take over Labourday? My return question to you is: Why is your organisation called 'SA', similar to the 'stormtroepen' of Hitler? - mj - Belgium

5. Reply to 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Do you really think Jews outside Israel accept the swastika and iron cross in this connection any more than the Jews in Israel?

Besides, ca 1 000 000 Palestinians are living in Israel. They have several delegates in the Israeli parliament, although not (yet) a majority. Do you think they are equally opposed to the swastika in this connection? No, probably not quite as much. - Thus "Jew" is probably the right term in this connection, - not "Israeli". Jews, at least some, has a living religion, but also, and more important, a culture, among other things based on dialog and free, matter of fact cricism. Many jews are atheists and some anarchists. The PLO-authority is brown & red corrupt, terroristical and ochlarchical , and have really very little to do with the Palestinian people except being their horrible rulers.

No peace against ochlarchist terror-rulers: Arrest them one way or another - all of them, Arafat included. I think you should perhaps be careful with the words, more than AFIF in this connection. See
http://www.anarchy.no/ija431.html for AFIF/SA's and AI/IFA's main stream policy in this matter.

AFIF/SA is for the Palestinian people, not their pest and plague of an insane Hitlerian Arafat-regime, paying parents to blow up their kids with bombs togheter with innocent civilian Jews. "No terrorism - Israeli withdrawel - Palestine state"

Dear mj. The swastika was used in the populist/völkischer German movement long before Hitler started his nazi-movement. The völkischer-movement was an "arian" fascist light movement with links to Finland a.o.t. Hitler just adopted it, an turned this already  reactionary symbol to his own, and interpreted it even more authoritarian. The Finnish Air Force used it related to the second world war, collaborating with the German nazis. Mannerheim, at first a collaborationist with the Germans declaring in 1942 "A holy war against our national enemy... as brothers in arms with Germany's giant warpower do a crusade against our enemy...", joined the allies in the second world war 1944, changed it out with two sabres. But as soon has he withdrew from politics in 1946, the old gang of rulers in my country once more introduced the nazi-emblem. Many of them are germanoid, authoritarian and think Hitler was a nice guy. Several of them  also today.  In Finland we often use the first letters when we shall shorten words, i.e. abbreviation. Thus in "SA" the "A" stands for Anarchistfederation in Finnish, not "abteilungen". Don't tease us.  If you search for "SA" on Internet you will find out that it is the abbreviation for South Africa, South Australia, in Poland it means the same as "ltd" in English, etc. Thus, "SA" is quite commonly used for different things. Perhaps it may give some bad memories in, or close to, Germany. By us it is just an ordinary abbreviation, and should not be interpreted in a derogative way. - Of course the fascists shall never take over May Day.
Libertarian greetings! Pekka

Thanks for the historical context. I was just curious. The tease was intended although perhaps inappropriate to someone I don't know... In Belgium and Holland these days people seem to have lost their sense of humour totally. So I guess I needed it. I understand that SA is an abbreviation (quite necessary in Finland since you have such incredible long words!). I just think that here we would never use SA as a short word for an anarchist organisation. Finland has a strange history that I can't really comprehend. I've had a girlfriend in Helsinki who's a Swedish-speaker. The language struggle and the history of former oppressors who are now a minority, and the long history of occupation by very different other nations - is in many senses quite similar to that of Belgium. But I think that our knowledge of other states within this so-called unified europe is very restricted. So thank you for the brief history-lesson. (And for the fast reply.) ... Greetings mj .

P.S. We have also got a humoristic picture from someone called "AIRPLANE" (a bit similar to the 11.09.2001 terrorist attack, but with an ironical touch - however later the link to the picture http://www.vitafactory.com/ad-monday2/joke051302.gif became dead). We let this be the last word so far in this debate. S.y. Pekka
